A highly stabilized form of the amino acid L-carnitine. The purpose of supplementing this amino acid in the body is to help support cardiovascular health, pulmonary function, and muscle recovery from exercise. L -carnitine also supports the conversion of fat into a fuel source and the production of energy in the mitochondria, the organelle of a cell responsible for energy production.
